Jonathan D. Purvis, CFRE
Vice President for Development, Regional Campuses, Indiana University Foundation
Jonathan Purvis is the Vice President of Development and Regional Campuses and reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Development of the Indiana University Foundation with a dotted line report to the Executive Vice President for University Academic Affairs. Jonathan has primary responsibility for the alignment of regional campus development programs with the overall mission and strategic objectives of Indiana University and the IU Foundation.
Prior to this position, Jonathan served in a variety of roles within higher education advancement, most recently as Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations for the Indiana University School of Education. Previously, Jonathan worked as Senior Director for Capital Projects at Washington University in St. Louis and held progressive development responsibilities at the IU Foundation including Executive Director of the Office of Special Gifts and Annual Giving Programs and Assistant to the IU Foundation President.
Jonathan is active in the Indiana University and Bloomington community having served on numerous boards and committees. He is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and contributing author to Achieving Excellence in Fundraising, 3rd Edition. Jonathan earned a Masters of Public Affairs, a B.A. in English, and a secondary education certification, all from Indiana University.
