Sarah Booher joined the Office of the Executive Vice President for University Academic Affairs in July 2013. As Chief of Staff, Sarah is involved in the oversight and project execution of various aspects of the Executive Vice President’s portfolio, including academic affairs, regional campus affairs, external academic relations, fiscal and human resources, and development, as well as meeting preparation for the Board of Trustees and Regional Campus Cabinet. Sarah also serves as the university coordinator of the 21st Century Scholars Program.

Sarah has served as a staff member at Indiana University since 1997 when she joined the Bloomington Office of Enrollment Management for a position in the Office of Orientation Programs. She then held various positions throughout her eight years in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions before being appointed Director of Scholarships in 2007. In 2002 Sarah was selected by students as Indiana University’s Student Advisor of the Year through the Council for Advancing Student Leadership.
Recognized for her work in enrollment management strategy, Sarah’s experience includes recruitment, marketing, freshman transition and student success programs, higher education administration, leadership development, and organizational and cultural change. She has presented at numerous state and national conferences, and served on various higher education committees and advisory boards. Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications and Sociology/Anthropology at DePauw University and her master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at IU. She has also completed the Harvard Institute for Higher Education through the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
